This lake is located 10 kms away west from Birendranagar.The area covered by Baraha-lake is 4 acers.This lake lies in the middle of the jungle and it's length is 2 kilometer. Baraha-Lake is area where you feel like you are in heaven.The clean lake,surrounded by forest green environment ,it's like WOW.

One of the most interesting fact you can't believe about baraha-lake of surkhet  is that When the leaves fall into the lake,these all leaves are immediately disappear.According to the local peoples:

when the Leaves fallen into the lake,The bird comes and take it away from lake.It makes lake clean and beautiful.Really,it is amazing lake.You should come once and visit this lake and feel the real feeling of Beautifulness.

Baraha Temple is island of western part of the Lake.The peace Environment with sweet voice of birds make really romantic and good feeling.The reflection of sunlight from the nearby hill before sunset,This view is so amazing.

Ghantaghar surkhet

Ghanta Ghar-Clock Tower is one of the perfect cemented tower as properly as Public clock in Surkhet. It was constructed by using the assist of Japan Government. 

It has prosperous architectural appearance and situated in the center of Birendranagar City. A small park is round the Ghanta Ghar which is very green as properly as clean. This cemented excessive tower is also the landmark of Surkhet. 

Many public occasions are held round the Ghanta Ghar. Now days, a well-known Chaat Street is getting popular for placing with friends close to Ghanta Ghar. Around the Ghanta Ghar, neighborhood residents are found selling sparkling vegetables, fruits and other nearby products like Kaphal, Aiselu, Peaches, Aaru Bookhara, Cucumbers, Guava, Sugarcane, Timmur, and Citrus products which gives a very homely feeling whilst seeing this scene. 

This Ghanta Ghar is very useful when humans don’t have watch at night because it offers alarm after each and every hour and tells time to residents.
